Model Horse Masterclass Series

Intro to Oil Painting Workshop: Bay and Chestnut

Join me on Zoom for a live workshop as we learn the basic techniques of painting a model with oils, and delve into color theory especially related to bay and chestnut coats. The workshop is limited in size to keep the class size small and allow for individual coaching. We will be working together to complete a bay or chestnut coat color of your choice, which will then be ready for your acrylic detailing in your own time.

These intro sessions are suitable for any experience level, from total beginner (I promise) to experienced oil painter! Sessions are always recorded for watching in your own time if you are unable to join live any of the weeks. You can also complete the entire workshop with rewatches only, submitting any questions you might have via email.

To join, use the link below to contact me. Space is limited. First come/first served. Invoices will be sent once minimum registrant capacity is met. Time payments available upon request.

Supplies: In addition to a prepped and primed model or medallion, you will need to purchase your own supplies. Upon registration, a link to a DickBlick wish list will be sent for convenient supply purchasing. You are welcome to use any equivalent supplies you may already have. Supply cost total estimate: $200, roughly.

This is a five-week course on Wednesdays from 8:00-10:00pm EST.
